This break is going well so far. I am enjoying this slow time. last couple weeks we were getting a lot of snow. I was hopping there would be a lot of snow on the New Year eve but now it's warming up and tomorrow is going to be 60F. This is crazy, man! Well there is still a chance there will be snow on 31st.
This piece I did at the beginning of the semester on craft paper. This is a cluster of the BMW CS concept. I really liked that car. I also like the way this sketch turned out so i decided to post it here.

I finally went to DIA to see Monet to Dali show. Enjoyed it very much. My favorite piece is Stefanina Primicile Carafa by Edgar Degas. Apparently she was his aunt an Italian Duchess. I loved the colors, the texture of the brushstrokes...very cool. They also had some sculptures. I liked Rodin's Ages of Bronze or smth like that. This is a little sketch I did of that sculpture. I tried to use the color combination from one of the paintings from that show.

Winter break blues
It is such a strange feeling when all the classes are over and there is nothing else left to do other than relax when only couple days ago I worked all night trying to get something done.
In our last Vis.Com class our instructor Sung Peik looked through all the work we did during the semester and picked the strongest work. I was surprised to find out what he picked.
He really liked these sketches of pick up's I did at the beginning of the semester. Just some crazy pick up trucks.
Tomorrow Senior class presenting their work. I want to go. I think that would be interesting.

This is a final development on this little aggressive SUV like urban dweller vehicle. I like how this Canson came out. Combination of Dark green and yellow works really well. I need to use it again some times.
I wanted the car to have some of that biological inspiration so i made head lights to appear and disappear as the car being turned on. the living tissue like panels fold and cover the gap. Kinda like BMW Gina but not with the fabric and the lights move like reptiles.

ViscomII again. This time this is an interior for a small city car. I still like working on Canson paper. I am trying to figure out what color paper works best for me. I definitely like this dark brown paper. And I like my interior. It is fun. Deep opening and parts sticking out of this dark spaces.
